Wednesday Morning Advent Study: “Faithful: Christmas Through the Eyes of Joseph”

November 29 – December 20, 2017
Wednesdays | 9:30 – 11:00 am | Room 350
Led by Rev. Phyllis Barren
Registration required | Book available for $15

We will use “Faithful: Christmas Through the Eyes of Joseph” by Adam Hamilton. In the study, you will examine Christmas through the eyes of Joseph. You will come to understand how Joseph’s place in the Nativity story is much like our own. In life, we encounter circumstances that we would have never chosen for ourselves. At times, it can be tempting just to walk away. Joseph provides us a great example of humbly obeying God even when we don’t understand and faithfully moving forward in the strength that God provides. Books are available in the Main Office on Sunday mornings.

Covenant Bible Study is an in-depth group Bible study in which we will read and discuss the Bible together, learning how to love God — and each other — better. This 24-week experience covers all the books of the Bible as we move back and forth from Old Testament to New Testament. Covenant Bible Study shows the interconnectedness of scripture while demonstrating how the covenant relationship between God and people is woven through the entire Bible. Covenant represents a relationship — a living, breathing conversation. This amazing class will be broken down into three 8-week sections. We will commit to daily scripture readings that should take about 20 – 30 minutes each and then discuss the themes in the readings for the week during our Sunday meetings. The class cost includes your student book.
