We are located in the heart of downtown Fort Worth at 800 West Fifth Street, Fort Worth, Texas.  All the lots that surround the church are available for parking on Sunday mornings.

What to wear

FUMC is a welcoming and warm congregation. We encourage you to wear clothing that makes you comfortable. Many church goers choose to dresss up and many choose to dress casually. During the warmer months of the year, many choose to wear business casual clothing to church.

Getting Around

First United Methodist Church has several buildings that make up our downtown campus.

The main church building hosts our Sanctuary, Wesley Hall, Leonard Memorial Chapel, Children’s Ministries and Sunday School rooms, Adult Ministries Sunday School rooms, Preschool, children’s nursery, Welcome Center and the main church office.

Worship services are held in Leonard Memorial Chapel, Wesley Hall and in the Sanctuary, all of which are on the first floor of the main church building. Our children’s nursery is located on the first floor as well.

The second floor of our main building is home to many of our Adult Sunday School classrooms as well as our Choir Suite and Children’s Sunday School rooms. The third floor of our main building houses additional adult Sunday School classrooms as well as several Children’s Sunday School rooms.

All the Youth activities are held on the Justin Youth Building located across the street from the main church building. The building has several classrooms, Epworth Hall where the youth worship is held, and a full-size gymnasium.

The Foundation Building is used both as office space for the First Methodist Foundation, the church business office and the Counseling and the Justice Ministries, Worth It Resale, and additional classroom space.

The First Street Methodist Mission is located two blocks north of the church. It houses our food bank, clothing bank and infant formula program.
