Methodist Connectional Partnerships
United Community Centers (UCC)
United Community Centers is a non-profit agency in partnership with United Way of Tarrant County, the United Methodist Church and other foundations and grantees that empowers individuals, strengthens families and enriches communities at three neighborhood centers. Since its founding in 1909 by the First United Methodist Church through today, United Community Centers, Inc. has helped Fort Worth’s neediest residents.
Justice for Our Neighbors (JFON)
Justice For Our Neighbors is a faith-driven ministry, welcoming immigrants into our churches and communities by providing free, high-quality immigration legal services, education and advocacy. Our clients are served by a professional immigration attorney who remains with their case until relief is granted or all avenues are exhausted.
Methodist Children’s Home
First United Methodist Church provides financial support to the Methodist Children’s Homes in Waco and San Antonio. Both of these organizations provide services to more than children and youth daily through residential care, foster care, and other services.
United Methodist Committee of Relief (UMCOR)
The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to alleviating human suffering around the globe. UMCOR’s work reaches people in more than 80 countries, including the United States. We provide humanitarian relief when war, conflict, or natural disaster disrupts life to such an extent that the affected communities are unable to recover on their own. UMCOR is a ministry of The United Methodist Church and spends 100 percent of designated donations on the projects our donors specify. When UMCOR donors give their time, money, and supplies, they join UMCOR as the hands and feet of Christ.
