Clothing

Clothing donations can be brought to First Street Mission:

Monday – Thursday | 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Mission will only accept new or gently used items. CLICK HERE for a complete list of items, as well as a listing of other places to donate usable items that the Mission cannot accept.

Clothing Assistance

Monday 10:00 am – 12:30 pm — Homeless Services ONLY

Wednesday 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm — Homeless Services ONLY

First Street Methodist Mission’s Clothing Bank is accessible to men and women who are homeless one time each month. Mission guests are able to select for themselves clothing items and other seasonal items like coats from the clothing racks.

Men and women who are homeless are also eligible to receive a hygiene kit once per month, the kit includes travel size soap, shampoo, toothpaste, a toothbrush, and razor and two bandages along with a new pair of cotton socks or underwear. Hygiene kits are available to our guests who are homeless on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Career Closet

By Appointment Only

The Career Closet is a resource for job-training and job-placement agencies to assist men and women with specific clothing items for newly obtained employment in service industry jobs. Types of clothing and shoes available are for food service jobs, landscape and construction jobs and scrubs for medical or childcare related jobs.

Appointments are available on Monday morning from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm and Wednesday afternoon from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. To set an appointment please call First Street Methodist Mission at 817/335-6080.
