Rev. Casey Orr serves as the Associate Pastor of Discipleship at First United Methodist Church in Fort Worth, Texas.
She grew up in a suburb of Nashville, Tennessee where her church youth group (Brentwood United Methodist Church) profoundly impacted her life, and she experienced a call to youth ministry at the age of 17.
Casey is a graduate of Lambuth University in Jackson, Tennessee, where she studied religion and Princeton Theological Seminary where she earned a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in youth ministry. She was ordained a deacon in the United Methodist Church in June 2016.
The majority of Casey’s work in the church has been in youth ministry. She served five churches before coming to FUMCFW: as a youth pastor, the director of a mission camp for youth, and (of course) a youth intern. While Casey is passionate about youth ministry and will always be inspired by the wisdom and passion of teenagers, she has most recently found her calling serving all ages of the church.
She and her husband, Michael, live in Grapevine. They welcomed their first son, James, in March 2016.
