Jodie Connaughton

Jodie Connaughton joined the Methodist Justice Ministry as one of our staff attorneys in January of 2016. Jodie is originally from Arkansas. She moved to Wichita Falls in 2000 and graduated from Midwestern State University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. She received an Masters in English in 2004 from Midwestern State University. She graduated from Texas A&M School of Law in 2014. Jodie worked at Patsy’s House Children’s Advocacy Center from 2001 until 2008. As the Outreach Services Coordinator, she coordinated services for victims of child abuse in Archer, Clay and Montague Counties. She also presented sexual abuse prevention programs to all school children in those three counties. Then Jodie worked for SafeHaven of Tarrant County as the Children’s Program Coordinator from 2008 until 2013, helping child victims of domestic violence and their mothers. She has always enjoyed helping people and particularly enjoys helping children and adults overcome prior abuse and move forward in their lives. She have been married to Chris Connaughton since 2007. They have adopted three children through CPS. They adopted their daughter in 2011, and she is now twenty. They adopted their sons, who are biological brothers, in 2014, and they are now six and seven.
